Are you the next
great podcast host?

If you listen to podcasts, you may have heard a Squarespace ad or two...or ten. Now, Squarespace is going one step further and launching our very own show with the help of the award-winning team at Gimlet Creative.

At Squarespace our mission is to help people with creative ideas succeed online— and now we’re making it happen on the airwaves. Casting Call is a reality audio series that documents our search for the next great podcast. Meta, right? We’ve sponsored quite a few shows over the years, so searching for the best podcasts is something we’re familiar with. Now through May 21st, we’re putting out an open (pod)casting call for aspiring hosts from all over the country.

Our panel of judges will join host Jonathan Goldstein to select three applicants to fly to New York and produce their pilots. At the end of the journey, one talented hopeful will be awarded a mini-series produced by Gimlet and maybe even a Squarespace sponsorship of their own—because is a podcast even a podcast without one?

Applications are open through May 21st. Apply here.

Prefer the life of a listener? All of the glory and drama of the competition will be documented for listeners to hear. Expect a behind-the-scenes look at the weird and wonderful world of podcasting. You’ll learn what makes a good host and how hit shows get made when Casting Call officially launches in September. Check out the teaser below and subscribe now so you don’t miss a thing.

Submissions are now closed. Due to the high volume of submissions, we are only able to reach out to those who will be moving forward in the Casting Call process. For those of you that have already applied, keep an eye out for a call or email over the next few weeks. We will announce when the semi-finalists have been chosen. You can subscribe to Casting Call wherever you listen to your podcasts to follow along on the journey when Casting Call debuts this September!
